  • 4th prize at Design Contest during the Asia South Pacific–Design Automation Conference (ASP-DAC) 2005 for the hardware design of low-energy reconfigurable architecture AMDREL.
  • Honorable mention for design contest entry for the design “AMDREL: A novel low-energy FPGA architecture and supporting CAD tool design flow” at 18th Int. Conference on VLSI 2005 regarding the toolset for application implementation onto the AMDREL FPGA device.
  • Best paper award for the publication H. Sidiropoulos, K. Siozios, P. Figuli, D. Soudris and M. Hubner, “On Supporting Efficient Partial Reconfiguration with Just-In-Time Compilation”, Reconfigurable Architectures Workshop (RAW), May 2012, China.
  • 2nd prize at the Cadence Design Contest 2013 regarding the rapid virtual prototyping framework Plug&Chip.
  • Ericsson Awards of Excellence in Telecommunications” for my diploma thesis entitled “Secure Mobile IP Architecture”.
  • The MEANDER FPGA Design Framework, which was developed as part of my PhD thesis, was funded by DAAD with 300,000 Euros in order to be extended for educational purposes.
